During the "Julia for High-Performance Computing" course at HLRS (https://www.hlrs.de/training/2022/JULIA), which takes place in Stuttgart from 20th to 23rd September 2022, Michael Schlottke-Lakemper will give a talk on the experience of the Trixi.jl project team with using Julia for HPC in the field of numerical simulation of compressible fluid flow. He will discuss aspects such as serial performance and tuning, share insights about research software engineering aspects for HPC, and show some scalability results and some challenges when running Julia in parallel using MPI.
