The PhD students and Post-Docs of the SnuBIC Research Unit came together at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Cologne, for a junior meeting for the first time. Starting at around 10:30 am the participants presented the current status of their project and the specific short to medium term problems they are working on and how it fits into their project. After these presentations and related discussions and questions the group transitioned into free discussion ranging from discussion about specific numerical schemes and time-stepping methods to mathematical theory needed for certain projects and possible avenues for cooperation. Finally Aachen was chosen for the location of the next meeting.
